Salisbury, MD, October 28, 2020 — The Precision Machined Products Association announced a new agreement with consulting firm APPI Energy on an PMPA member-only benefit to provide electricity and natural gas cost reduction and management services. Through APPI Energy’s program, PMPA members receive expert recommendations, cost reduction opportunities, and budget certainty through competitive procurement and fixed, all-inclusive energy contracts. In addition to procurement services, APPI Energy takes a holistic approach to energy management by helping clients implement and optimize demand cost reduction strategies.
“Every day, APPI Energy reviews the wide range of energy supplier prices across the country, and utilizes that data to lower operating expenses for our clients,” said Walter Moore, President and CEO of APPI Energy. “Recommendations to PMPA members regarding when to buy energy, and which contract length is best, are based on extensive data analytics and over 24 years of transaction experience,” said Moore.
APPI Energy currently manages 10 billion kilowatt hours and 19.4 million dekatherms of natural gas. Nearly half of their clients (43%) operate in the manufacturing sector. APPI Energy’s unbiased, independent team of energy experts helps clients make smart business decisions about energy procurement, so they can focus on their business.
“Though our partnership with APPI Energy, we hope to provide our members with sustainable and effective measures for cost reduction,” said Cate Smith, Executive Director of PMPA. “This is another valuable offering we are adding for PMPA members to save money in their business operations.”
